Yesterday, I spent my Mother's Day doing something I've been wanting to do since we moved in here...organizing my scrap area. There's still a lot of work that could be done as far as decorating and getting a couple new units for all my paper but for now, it's a workable space that I can use whenever I want to! HOORAY! I've never had that and I'm so looking forward to using it. Here's the two main parts of the area, I do realize that it still looks kind of empty but at least it's a start.
Here's the main area for storage of my supplies. I used my fantastic new Cricut to make all the tags you see on the boxes and storage bins. Didn't they come out cute?
Here's the close-up details. I'm especially proud of the box for my glue gun. It was a camembert cheese box and I measured it, set my Cricut to make a circle and it came out perfectly! I cut out the letters, the background for the letters and the star (just for fun) and it worked great. So easy and much craftier than camembert cheese. I just used scraps for all the tags and I'm really happy with the way it all looks. Now I just have to find the time to get down there and craft, craft, craft!
I'm a 41-year-old mom who teaches swim lessons at our local YMCA and who works as a nutritionist, helping others to lose weight. I recently lost 90 pounds myself and I've maintained it for a year. But I consider my most important job that of taking care of my sweet, 6-year-old boy, two furry canine sons and one fantastic husband to whom I've been married for sixteen years. We were "city people" for many years but we're now "country people" since we've moved from a small row home in a hip, urban neighborhood to a much smaller country town an hour outside of "our" city. Join me to read about our family's adventures, my love of fitness/running, crafts, decorating and healthy living and any other random nonsense I may decide to blog about...let the adventures begin...
