An empowering day!

If you're interested, I updated my training plan for the week here. It pretty much just reiterates what I'm going to tell you about now though.

I ran 3.1 miles straight today (on the treadmill) without stopping at all! 36 minutes and 10 seconds which is practically a full minute off my previous best time. It's the first time I've done it and I am feeling so proud of myself. I never would have believed it if people told me I was going to run. RUN! I actually don't really even like it but I do like that I CAN do it, if that makes any sense. I was scared for the race on Saturday, but now, I'm ready. Even if I don't beat my best treadmill time, I know I'll be able to do a time that doesn't make me look like a complete fool for even trying. ha ha!

Also, I signed up for a mini-triathlon at our YMCA today. It's 20 minutes of swimming in the pool, 40 minutes of riding a spin bike (you can do outside but I'm not up for that) and 45 minutes of running/walking at the park across from the Y. I like it because we can just go at our own pace but can also start to feel what a triathlon would be like. Oh, and it's May 30th, just a couple weeks away!

It's so exciting that I can do these things and exciting that I'm excited about it. I am woman hear me roar! LMAO!
