The Son was up too late last night, waiting for The Husband to get home. He misses him so much during the week so I tried to let him stay up but he was TOO tired, I couldn't do it. I had to tear him away from his beloved "Sprout" which he hasn't really watched much lately. (He's too busy with all his summer activities for TV.) As I was dragging him up the stairs trying to convince him that he needed to stop whining so that we would have some time for books he says,
"OOHHHH, I wish I was nocturnal."
I just about lost it, it was so funny to me. At least it's good to know the child is smart, even when he is on the verge of a tantrum.
And, in case you're wondering, he pulled it together and got ready for bed nicely as soon as I started pretending he was a Baby Chipmunk. Good times... good times...
