I haven't been able to blog too much lately...

because I've been very busy with this:

this:

and unfortunately, this:

Teaching swimming, taking The Son to camp and going to the pool in the afternoons causes a surprising amount of laundry. Perhaps I just need a few more beach towels? It's 10 AM and The Son is at camp right now, I'm doing this post and then I'll be going upstairs to give myself a pedicure and get all my stuff together to go to my friend Jen's house for a playgroup this afternoon and then I have work at 4. We won't be back home until after 7:00. It's going to be a busy day!

My  12 year old neighbor has officially been hired as Ziggy's puppysitter. She comes in a few times a day to play with him and take him out. She loves dogs and is really good with him. It makes me feel less guilty about being gone all day and she seems to enjoy it as well. Thank goodness for nice neighbors!

Speaking of neighbors, I just found out that one of my former neighbors, took her kids and left her husband. I was shocked to hear that but actually quite pleased that she's finally standing up for herself. As I know I've said before, many women I know aren't as blessed as I am when it comes to husbands. I know it sucks to "break up" a family but at the same time, it sucks to be treated like crap and to have your kids see it. I haven't talked to this neighbor since I moved but I'm really proud to hear what she's done even though I know it's got to be hard. I didn't think she had it in her! (and no, it's not who you're thinking Sister) I'll be thinking of you and your boys "Former Neighbor!"

Have a blogalicious day everyone!

Laundry laundry laundry. It is awful isn't it? I have actually been trapped here today because of it.

Very cool about the puppy sitter.

Whew! I'm tired from just reading your post!

And you GO with the trash picking! Those are my favorite bargains!!!! You must post pictures of what you do.

As far as spray paint goes, I'm not too picky. I usually use Rustoleum or Valspar. I prefer a satin finish since glossy can highlight the flaws in something.

Have fun!

Oh...And I get it all sorts of places. Home Depot, Lowes, Joanne, Michaels. Wherever I can find the color and finish I like.
