I'm tired...

and I'm a sucker. Our new little guy had issues last night, big issues that resulted in him sleeping in bed with us. (That's where the sucker part comes in.) The Husband and I had grand plans of Ziggy curling up quietly and sleeping in his kennel next to our bed last night. Ziggy had a different grand plan. We tried, we really did but as soon as he got in the kennel, he cried...NO, make that SCREAMED like he was terrified. Which he might have been. We didn't want The Son to wake up and we were tired so we let him get in bed with us where he promptly fell asleep. The good news is that he was pretty good most of the night, except for the times when he tried to nest in my hair and, for the time when he might have scarred The Husband for life by "thinking he was his Mommy." I didn't go into details with The Husband regarding that one but I think you can use your imagination.

We have been putting him in the kennel on and off today and he continues to scream but I dare say it might be a little, bitty bit better than it was last night. I never had The Son in bed with me and Iago and Vinnie are but I'll be darned if this new little one will be (at least not permanently) Remember, Iago and Vinnie weigh a total of 24 pounds or so, Ziggy might get up to 75 pounds. NO WAY, NO HOW is he making himself comfortable in my bed. I'm not kidding myself, he might be there again tonight but not on a regular basis... really, I swear.

I have some pictures that I've been trying to post but for some reason, blogger is not cooperating. I'll come back and try it again later.

Omg! I am laughing so hard about your husband!!!! THAT is hysterical! Good luck with that puppy of yours tonight. I forgot how bad new puppies can be those first few weeks. Ugh. Thanks for the wake up call. I was thinking about a second dog- there were free chihuahua's in the newspaper on Sunday. No thanks!

Awww, we were just as bad. We had Casey in the kitchen and that crying was just too much. At 86 pounds he starts off in our bed but likes his space so he just moves out to the couch or wherever his spoiled heart desires.

He is beyond cute!!
