Puppy love is alive and well...

with the CityFamilyCountryFamily. Our little guy is growing in size and on our hearts more and more each day. Ziggy is quickly becoming a valued member of this family. He's growing by leaps and bounds and is a very smart puppy. Practically a genius in the dog world, I'm sure. (Not that I'm biased or anything) He is definitely a lap dog, he finds Momma's lap the most enjoyable in the evenings when we're watching TV, probably because it's the squishiest. The Husband says that he will continue to be a lap dog, even when he's 65-70 pounds. Momma's lap may have something to say about that one. He's just about house-broken and is a pretty good listener as far as pups go. Of course, he has things that he continues to do that are naughty but all in all, I'm very pleased with his behavior, he's pretty calm for such a little guy.

I'm posting a few recent pictures for you, you can't get much cuter than this guy I'm sure, at least as far as dogs go. Here he is displaying his "patented puppy head tilt" he knows that just about everyone is a sucker for this look. It gets you every time.

Here he is sleeping on Iago, it can't be all that comfortable for Iago because Ziggy weighs quite a bit more, but Iago was so sleepy that he didn't even mind. Iago is doing pretty well so far and just celebrated his 13th birthday. We don't know how much longer (he has lung cancer for those of you who don't know) he has with us but we're trying to make what ever time he has left special. I'm sure a sleeping puppy on top of him really helps. NOT!

Handsome boy.
Naughty boy. He'll be up to that table before we know it!

Caren,

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet message.

Your new puppy is adorable and I love it when they cock their head when you are talking to them. It looks like he is an absolute photo poser. I'm sorry your elderly one isn't doing so well. We lost a 13 year old min pin in Feb. of this year due to congestive heart failure. He had the best days he could right up to the end though. Animals sure get into your heart, don't they.

Yea for grass!!!
